@findingforest51 tagged me for a mugshot! Here I am with my hydro flask, the best travel mug, after using it to travel to teacher conferences and drink coffee on the way.

Jay’s doing great, btw. He’s caught up or nearly caught up in every class. He’s a good contributor. He brings the energy. He asks good questions. His Passages (big projects specific to this school) are going well.

He’s going to stay in school an extra semester and graduate in winter of 2025. His reasoning is that he doesn’t want to rush and half ass his Passages and transcripts (students write a narrative transcript rather than getting numbers and grades). It’s slightly disappointing that he won’t walk with his class, and WAY more awesome that he made a reasonable decision. Besides, with the mental health problems he had freshman and sophomore years? One semester is nothing! I’m proud of his decision.

Now I’m taking an hour to myself before Soba goes to the vet.

Tidbit Tease Tuesday

I was tagged by @dangerpronebuddie & @hippolotamus . Since I actually had about an hour to write today, I started my next writing challenge fic, which is a Sweet prompt. This is unedited and I hope I have time to finish it tomorrow.

“Eddie, you’ve been frowning since we pulled into the lot,” Buck points out. “We don’t have to eat here if you’d rather not. I can send Ravi a text, and we can go somewhere else.”

“No, it’s fine,” Eddie says, rolling his eyes when Buck snorts. “Seriously, it’s whatever. Ravi chose the place, so I should have been expecting something sleek and modern instead of somewhere actually good. I bet they put foam and baby food on the plate and call it fine dining, though.”

“You’re such a snob,” Buck says, laughing as he turns the Jeep off. “I took a look at the menu after Ravi sent me the address because I know how much you hate food that isn’t substantially filling. It’s basically a tasting menu from what I could tell, so plan on grabbing some tacos from Garcia’s truck on the way home.”

“What the hell is a tasting menu?” Eddie grumbles, unfastening his seatbelt and opening the passenger door. “It makes it sound like we’re going to be eating cardboard. Don’t tell me. This place has only been open for, like, a month, and it’s on some trendy list that Ravi must have seen somewhere.”

Thank you @sinvulkt for the tag! The past few days I was mostly editing, so I have no idea if these are really my last six sentences. Also, I like being ~mysterious~ so no translation for you here, haha. If you want to use any kind of translator: all personal pronouns should be he/him. (Hungarian has no grammatical gender, translators can't really deal with that.)

Last six sentences from an Inheritance Cycle story

Felfordult a gyomra. Utálta, hogy minden alkalommal meglepte, utálta, hogy csak azt nem tudta, mikor tudja oldalba bökni őt ezekkel a derült égből érkező hasonlítgatásokkal.

Utálta, ha megsimogatta, még jobban, hogy ez jólesett neki, hogy oda kellett telepednie a lábához. Azt akarta, hogy mindenki eltakarodjon végre, és úgy kezelje őt, ahogy szokta. A szidása legalább őszinte volt.

What's your total AO3 word count? 432,744 (wow)

What fandoms do you write for? Stranger things for now. I've also written for Preacher (the AMC show) and Witcher

Do you respond to comments? Yes, always if the comment is nice. Negative comments and stuff that points out mistakes gets deleted.

Have you ever had a fic stolen? Not that I know of. I once found a fic that was very close to mine though, but different enough not to be based on mine.

Have you ever co-written a fic before? I'm currently writing two fics with Aggressiveviking. The Family Values Program has already a few chapters out :)

What's your all-time favourite ship? Without a doubt it's Harringrove, even though Cassidy & Eccarius is close number two

What are your writing strengths? I think I'm pretty decent in writing long and detailed descriptions for scenes when I get to it. And smut.

What are your writing weaknesses? Coming up with everything that happens in between major plot points A and C.

my middle name is my grandma's name, but otherwise no. always wanted a cool story for my name but i don't have one *shrug emoji*

uhm yesterday? i'm overly emotional, even more so when it's that time of the month so yeah.

nope. want to have some one day though. but that's only the future.

what sports do you play / have you played?

i did aikido, volleyball, tennis, hiphop dance, running. now i'm only mountain biking, and even that not so often.

do you use sarcasm?

all the time. sarcasm is my only defence, as a fave character of mine once said.

their eyes. but sometimes it's their outfit or just a specific piece of that

Learned how to talk on our information channel at work

Dispatched a school bus vs truck crash with 20 patients (everyone will be fine)

Dispatched on a tactical channel with the Deputy Chief of EMS and did well (this was for a patient threatening to jump off a building, we had to coordinate resources; patient was picked up by a paramedic/therapist car and taken to the ER)

Meeting with the boss and my trainer; I’m doing better than I thought!
